Abstract No. 129 Histopathological Analysis after Transarterial Radioembolization with Yttrium-90 Resin Microspheres

To identify effects of transarterial radioembolization (TARE) with Yttrium-90 resin microspheres on histopathological analysis. All patients who underwent TARE to any liver tumor followed by a resection were included in this retrospective, IRB-approved study (n = 26). was performed using 3-day pre-calibration 90Y SPECT/CT or PET/CT. Pathologic analysis board certified pathologist 34 years experience. Degree response recorded as percentage nonviable tumor, (either due necrosis fibrosis) and number beads counted 5X zoom normal liver. Three separate regions the assessed, average being reported.
